On Thursday, January 22nd, I will be hosting a Property Tax Listening Session in Stewartville along with the House Property Tax and Local Government Finance Committee Chair Steve Drazkowski and Representative Duane Quam. Other committee members of the House Property Tax Committee have also been invited.
We will be discussing local property taxes and answering questions from constituents.
State leaders have promised Minnesotans for years that local property taxes are set to go down, but traveling throughout our district last summer and fall, I heard from too many people that their personal property tax rates continue to skyrocket. It’s time to implement new, innovative solutions to lessen your tax burden, and input from citizens during this early part of the legislative session is invaluable.
