MINUTES

Representative Tabke, Vice Chair of the Transportation Finance & Policy Division, called the Twenty Second meeting to order at 12:46 P.M. on March 21st, 2019 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF2403 (Hornstein) Relating to transportation; establishing the governor’s budget for transportation and public safety activities; modifying various provisions governing transportation and public safety policy and finance; appropriating money; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.

Chair Hornstein moved HF2403 for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Presentation by Minnesota Department of Transportation Commissioner, Margaret Anderson Kelliher.


Vice Chair Tabke noted that a quorum was present.

Representative Petersburg moved to approve the minutes of the March 19th meeting. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Hornstein renewed his motion that HF2403 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Chair Hornstein moved that HF2082 be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee with a recommendation to be placed on the General Register.

Representative Torkelson moved the H2082A2 Amendment. Discussion took place.

HF45 (Schultz) Relating to elections; providing for automatic voter registration of all applicants for driver’s license, instruction permit, or state identification card.

Chair Hornstein moved that HF45 be referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Representative Schultz introduced her bill.
