MINUTES

Representative Hornstein, Chair of the Transportation Finance & Policy Division, called the Eleventh meeting to order at 12:50 P.M. on February 19th, 2019 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Hornstein called the meeting to order at 12:50pm. A quorum was present.

Representative Petersburg moved to approve the minutes of February 14th, 2019. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF302 (Vogel, B.) Scott County; Individual diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder or mental health condition allowed to request a disability designation on driver’s license of identification card.

Noah McCourt, citizen advocate, testified in support of the bill.

Chair Hornstein moved the H0302A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Hornstein moved that HF302 be re-referred as amended to the committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Dawn Olson, Director, Driver and Vehicle Services, Minnesota Department of Public Safety, testified on the bill.

HF861 (Hansen, R.) Dakota County; Minnesota Licensing and Registration System (MNLARS) and Driver and Vehicle Services funding provided, report required, and money appropriated.

Presentation by Cassandra O’Hearn, Deputy Commissioner, Minnesota Department of Public Safety.

Chair Hornstein moved the H0861A7 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Runbeck moved the H0861A3 amendment.
Representative Runbeck withdrew the H0861A3 amendment.

Representative Torkelson moved the H0861A6 amendment.
