MINUTES

Representative Nelson, Chair of the State Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:03 AM, February 27, 2019 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

HF 353 (Murphy); A bill for an act relating to capital investment; appropriating money for equipment grants to public television stations.

Chair Nelson moved that HF 353 be held over for possible inclusion in the Division Omnibus Bill.

Chair Nelson moved to orally amend Amendment H0353A1, replacing “Grand” with “Grant” on line 1.10.

Chair Nelson moved to adopt Amendment H0353A1. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Bill Strusinski, Libby Law Office, Representing Friends of Minnesota Public Television

HF 353, as amended, was held over for possible inclusion in the Division Omnibus Bill.

HF 1187 (Lippert); A bill for an act relating to state government; appropriating money for equipment grants to Minnesota Public Radio.

Chair Nelson moved that HF 1187 be held over for possible inclusion in the Division Omnibus Bill.

HF 1187 was held over for possible inclusion in the Division Omnibus Bill.

HF 1303 (Persell); A bill for an act relating to state government; appropriating money for grants to radio stations.

Chair Nelson moved that HF 1303 be held over for possible inclusion in the Division Omnibus Bill.

Joel Glaser, Chief Executive Officer, Association of Minnesota Public Education Radio Stations (AMPERS)

HF 1303 was held over for possible inclusion in the Division Omnibus Bill.

HF 354 (Carlson, L.); A bill for an act relating to state government; appropriating money to public television and community radio for the Beyond Opioids Project.

Chair Nelson moved that HF 354 be held over for possible inclusion in the Division Omnibus Bill.

Chair Nelson moved to adopt Amendment H0354A1. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
