MINUTES

Representative Considine, Chair of the Corrections Division, called the meeting to order at 8:06 A.M. on March 6th, 2019, in Room 10 of the State Office Building

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Christensen moved the minutes from February 26th be adopted. MOTION PREVAILS.

HF 1020 (Zerwas) Jail inmate transfer provisions modified.

Rep. Zerwas moved that HF 1020 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Rep. Zerwas presented HF 1020.

HF 1159 (Lislegard) Northeast Regional Corrections Center funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Rep. Lislegard presented the bill.

Chair Considine moved to refer HF 1159 to the Public Safety and Criminal Justice Reform Finance and Policy Division.

HF 754 (Becker-Finn) Mama's Bus pilot project to provide parent and child bonding and literacy for incarcerated women and their children established, and money appropriated.

Rep. Becker Finn presented HF 754.

Chair Considine moved that HF 754 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.
Rep. O’Neill moved amendment HF0754A1. Amendment was adopted.

Rep. O’Neill moved amendment HF1518A1. Amendment was adopted.

Chair Considine moved that HF 1518 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.
