MINUTES

Representative Mariani, Chair of the Public Safety and Criminal Justice Reform Finance and Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 12:50 P.M. on February 14th, 2019, in room 120 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Nash moved that the minutes for the February 12th and 13th, 2019 meetings be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF981 (Hertaus) Uniform Collateral Consequences of Convictions Act proposed for adoption by the National Conference of Commissions on Uniform State Laws, law regarding collateral consequences and criminal offenders rehabilitation conformed with the uniform act, and money appropriated.

Representative Long moved to amend HF981 with the A19-0030 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hertaus presented HF981.

Chair Mariani laid over HF981, as amended, for possible inclusion in the Public Safety omnibus bill.

HF741 (Noor) Limiting the use of money bail for certain offenses.

Chair Mariani moved to amend HF741 with the A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Noor presented HF741.
