MINUTES


Representative Lesch, Chair of the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Division Committee, called the meeting to order at 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Lesch began the meeting at 11:20 a.m. A quorum was present.

Representative Cantrell moved the minutes from April 4, 2019 for approval. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF 2705 (Lesch) A bill for an act relating to judiciary; appropriating money for courts, human rights, Guardian Ad Litem Board, Uniform Laws Commission, Board on Judicial Standards, and Board of Public Defense

Representative Lesch recommended HF 2705 be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Ben Johnson, Researcher, began the walk through of HF 2705.

Representative Lesch moved the A13 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Lesch moved the A9 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Lesch moved the A-19 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Her withdrew the A1 amendment.

Representative Liebling moved the A4 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Carlson withdrew the A10 amendment.

Representative Cantrell withdrew the A8 amendment.

Representative Cantrell withdrew the A11 amendment.

Representative Bahr withdrew the A2 amendment.

Representative Bahr withdrew the A12 amendment.

Representative Moller withdrew the A3 amendment.

HF 2705, as amended, was re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.



SF 1257/HF 925 (Davids) Epinephrine auto-injectors use by certain individuals completing training program authorization.
Representative Johnson moved to recommend SF 1257 be placed on the General Register.
Representative Johnson moved the A19 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Johnson renewed his motion to recommend SF 1257 be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

**markup/amendments and voting on the bill will take place during committee on April 9, 2019. If we do not finish during regular committee time, we will recess and re-convene at 5 pm, in Hearing Room 400S.
