MINUTES

Representative Paul Marquart, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:00 A.M. on, Tuesday, January 29, 2019, in Room 5 of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Marquart officially called the meeting to order at 8:05 A.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Carlson moved that the minutes of January 24, 2019 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 351 (Davids) Sales tax exemption provided for fire departments and ambulance equipment

Representative Davids moved HF 351 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Davids moved the H0351A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Davids renewed his motion that HF 351, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

HF 157 (Brand) Sales tax exemption provided for prepared food used in certain nonprofit food programs

Representative Gomez moved HF 157 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Gomez renewed her motion that HF 157 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.


HF 43 (Hertaus) Nonprofit ice rink sales tax exemption

Representative Davids moved HF 43 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Jerry Hertaus presented HF 43.

Representative Davids renewed his motion that HF 43 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

HF 279 (Richardson) Providing a construction exemption for a fire station in the city of Inver Grove Heights

Representative Davids moved HF 279 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Richardson presented HF 279.
