MINUTES

Representative Dehn, Chair of the Subcommittee on Elections, called the meeting to order at 9:49 AM on February 27, 2019 in the Basement Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Mann moved to approve minutes for February 20, 2019 meeting. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Bahner assumed the chair.

HF1487 (Dehn) Relating to elections administration, voting, voter registration, polling places, ballots, recounts, contests, candidates, and related provisions technical and policy changes made.

Representative Dehn moved HF673 to be re-referred to the committee on Government Operations.

Representative Dehn testified on the bill.

Representative Dehn moved to adopt H1487A1 amendment (Dehn). THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Dehn renewed the motion for HF1487 as amended to be re-referred to the committee on Government Operations.

HF677 (Huot) Relating to elections; authorizing mail balloting in any town or any city with fewer than 400 registered voters: amending Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 204B.45, subdivision 1.

Representative Dehn moved HF677 to be re-refered to the committee on Government Operations.
