Agriculture committee receives Animal Health Board overview
Gov. Mark Dayton’s budget biennial recommendation includes a base increase of $166,000 for the Board of Animal Health. The additional money would cover increased personnel costs while maintaining current service levels.
Board officials provided an overview of their agency to members of the House Agriculture Finance Committee Thursday. As part of that presentation, they offered a high-level look at their budget.
The governor also recommended $214,000 for the 2020-21 biennium to cover personnel costs in that biennium as well.
Morgan Grelson, the board’s business manager, said the new funding would offset rising Federal Insurance Contributions Act and health care costs.
