LABOR AND INDUSTRY POLICY AND FINANCE COMMITTEE

Representative Michael Nelson, Chair of the Labor and Industry Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:03 PM on January 31, 2023 in Room 10 of the State Office Building. It was broadcast via House Public Information Services.

Chair Nelson moved that HF 295 be re-referred to the Commerce Finance and Policy Committee.

HF 295 (Elkins); Covenants not to compete are void and unenforceable provided, and protection of substantive provisions of Minnesota law to apply to matters arising in Minnesota provided.

Chair Nelson moved that HF 295 be re-referred to the Commerce Finance and Policy Committee.

Rep. Elkins presented HF 295.

Chair Nelson moved that HF 62 be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Chair Nelson moved that the A6 amendment adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Nelson presented HF 62, as amended.

The following testified on HF 62, as amended:

• Rich Neumeister, Citizen Lobbyist

Chair Nelson renewed the motion that HF 62, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
