JUDICIARY FINANCE AND CIVIL LAW COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Jamie Becker-Finn, Chair of the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law, called the meeting to order at 8:30 A.M. on April 9, 2024, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Scott moved that the minutes of April 4, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 5033 (Pinto) Child protection package.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that HF 5033 be recommended to be re-referred to the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee.

Chair Becker-Finn moved the H5033DE2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Pinto presented HF 5033 as amended.

Chair Becker-Finn renewed the motion that HF 5033, as amended, be recommended to be re-referred to the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 685 (Agbaje) Corporate home owner residential rentals restricted.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that HF 685, as amended, be recommended to be re-referred to the Housing Finance and Policy Committee.

Chair Becker-Finn moved to reconsider adoption of the H0685A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Agbaje moved the H0685A3 amendment.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that HF 912 be recommended to be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Chair Becker-Finn moved the H0912A3 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
