MINUTES

Representative Liebling, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:31 A.M. on March 16, 2023 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

HF1843 (Reyer) Analysis conducted of benefits and costs of universal health care system to assist legislature in comparing it to current public and private health care financing system, report required, and money appropriated.

Representative Reyer moved that HF1843 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

Representative Reyer moved the H1843DE2 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Reyer presented her bill as amended.

Chair Liebling laid over HF1843, as amended, for possible inclusion in the Committee bill.

HF96 (Long) Transitional cost-sharing reduction, premium subsidy, small employer public option, and transitional health care credit established; MinnesotaCare eligibility expanded; premium scale modified; and alternative delivery and payment system recommendations required.

Chair Liebling moved that HF96 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

Representative Long presented his bill.

HF2705 (Pérez-Vega) Identification requirements for insulin safety net program modified.

Chair Liebling moved that HF2705 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

Representative Pérez-Vega along with Representative Howard presented her bill.

Representative Her presented her bill.

Representative Smith moved that HF1884 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

Representative Smith moved the H1884A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Smith presented his bill as amended.

Chair Liebling laid over HF1884, as amended, for possible inclusion in the Committee bill.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:29 P.M.
