MINUTES

Representative Liebling, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:32 A.M. on February 16, 2023 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Bierman moved that the Joint Health Policy and Commerce meeting minutes of January 30, 2023 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Bierman moved that the minutes of February 16, 2023 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) Presentation on Managed Care
1. P.J. Weiner, Manager, Alternate Purchasing, Health Care Administration, DHS

HF693 (Fischer) Commissioner of human services required to contract for administration of medical assistance and MinnesotaCare programs, report required, and money appropriated.

Representative Fischer moved that HF693 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

Representative Fischer moved the H0693DE1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Fischer presented his bill as amended.

Chair Liebling moved that HF474 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

Representative Huot presented his bill.

Representative Her moved that HF474 First Engrossment be laid over for possible inclusion in the Committee bill.

Representative Her moved the H0732A3 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Her presented her bill as amended.
