CHILDREN AND FAMILIES FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Dave Pinto, Chair of the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:33 A.M. on Thursday, January 19, 2023, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Hanson assumed the gavel at 8:36 a.m.

HF150 (Pinto) Child care stabilization base grants modified, and money appropriated.

Chair Pinto moved that HF 150 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Chair Pinto moved the A2 amendment to HF 150. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Pinto presented HF 150 as amended.

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn assumed the gavel at 8:43 A.M.

Chair Pinto renewed the motion that HF 150 as amended be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Pinto reassumed the gavel at 8:54 A.M.

HF456 (Perez-Vega) Expansion of voluntary prekindergarten and school readiness plus program made permanent, and money appropriated.

Representative Perez-Vega moved that HF 456 be re-referred to the Committee on Education Finance.

Representative Perez-Vega presented HF 456.

Vice-Chair Keeler assumed the gavel at 9:28 A.M.

HF13 (Pinto) Child care assistance rates modified.

Chair Pinto moved that HF 13 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Chair Pinto moved the A2 Amendment to HF 13. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Pinto presented HF 13 as amended.
