Representative Dave Pinto, Chair of the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:31 A.M. on April 9th, 2024, in Room 200N of the State Office Building.

Presentation of Governor’s FY24-25 Supplemental Budget Recommendations.

Chair Pinto assumed the gavel.

A quorum was present.

HF5267 (Pinto) Governor’s budget bill for early childhood programs; child welfare and child care licensing provisions modified; technical changes to early childhood law made; Department of Children, Youth, and Families recodification updated; and money appropriated.

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn moved HF5267 before the committee.

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn moved the A24 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Pinto presented HF5267 as amended.

Chair Pinto laid over HF5267 as amended.

Chair Pinto moved HF4727 before the committee.

Chair Pinto moved the DE4 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Pinto presented HF4727 as amended.

Amendments: All amendments that are substantive must be given to the CA by 1:00 PM on the day prior to the committee hearing. This deadline may be waived at the discretion of the Chair.
