CLIMATE AND ENERGY FINANCE AND POLICY MINUTES

Representative Patty Acomb, Chair of the Committee on Climate and Energy Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM on January 25, 2023 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Vice Chair Kraft moved that the minutes of January 24, 2023, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 299 (Newton); Blaine; National Sports Center solar array funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Newton moved HF 299.

Representative Newton presented HF 299.

Testifiers:
• Todd Johnson, Executive Director, Amateur Sports Commission
• Steve Olson, Chief Operating Officer, National Sports Complex
• Logan O’Grady, Executive Director, MnSEIA

Representative Newton renewed the motion that the HF 299 be laid over.

A presentation from the Prairie Island Indian Community on their Net Zero Project was provided.

• Andrea Zimmerman, Energy Program Manager, Prairie Island Indian Community

The meeting was adjourned at 3:54 PM.
