Representative Lieder, Chair of the House Transportation Finance & Policy Division called the meeting to order at 8:35 P.M. on Thursday, March 18, 2010 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

A quorum was present.

HF 3458 (Shimanski) Minnesota Department of Transportation consultation required on roundabout design. Rep. Lieder moved the H3458DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. Erik Rudeen, MnDOT, spoke to the bill. Rep. Lieder moved that HF 3458, as amended, be recommended to pass and rereferred to the Committee on Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

SF2340 (Haws) Active purple heart recipients made eligible for combat wounded vehicle license plate. Bill Lilledahl and Bob Connor, Adjutant Military Order of the Purple Heart, spoke in favor of the bill. Rep. Lieder moved the S2340DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. The bill was laid over.

Rep. Holberg moved adoption of the minutes from March 18, 2010. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2427 (Morrow) Trunk Highway 14 construction project requirements established. J.D. Burton, US Hwy 14 Partnership, spoke to the bill. Rep. Morrow moved the H2427A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Scott Peterson, MnDOT, spoke to the bill. Rep. Morrow moved to lay HF 2427 on the table.

HF3486 (Morrow) Financial assistance changes made for public transit, federal aid governing requirements established, local share of transit provider operating costs governing requirements modified, and reporting requirements amended. Tony Kellen, MN Public Transit and Mike Shadauer, MnDOT, spoke to the bill and answered committee questions. Rep. Morrow moved adoption of the H3486DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3576 (Lieder) Transportation economic development assistance program established, accounts and appropriating funds established, petroleum tank release cleanup fee amended, and legislative reporting required. Rep. Lieder asked that HF 3576 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Transportation Finance Omnibus bill.

The meeting was adjourned at 6: 20 P.M.
